Recommended Reading for diplomats (by Electronic Embassy) - The books listed provide excellent reading on issues of diplomacy and other aspects of international affairs, as well as the advent of new information technologies in their conduct. Conference on Information Technology and Diplomacy (May 1997) and the International Conference on Modern Diplomacy, (February1998)
. The contributors are professors, diplomats and official involved in international relations coming from a wide variety of countries.

  • Mediterranean Academy of Diplomatic Studies - Malta -
    The Mediterranean Academy of Diplomatic Studies was
    established in 1990 as a joint undertaking between the University of Malta and Geneva’s Graduate Institute of International Studies, Switzerland. The latter has been active for many years in the field of training diplomats, running its own training programmes, specializing in multilateral diplomacy and international security.

  • The Graduate Institute of international studies -   Geneva
    The Graduate Institute of International Studies, founded in 1927, is devoted to teaching and scientific research in contemporary international relations. Fields of study include Law, Economics, International History and Politics, and Political Science.
  • The Centre for diplomatic and International study - Leicester (UK)
    Located at the Department of Politics at the University of Leicester, the Centre for Diplomatic and International Studies (CeDIS) exists to provide a focus for international political research
  • Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service - Georgetown University (USA) - The mission of the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service is to educate and prepare students for careers in international affairs--in government, international organizations and the private sector. Established in 1919, the School is the largest such institution in the world, and the oldest in the United States. It conducts an undergraduate program for 1,400 students and graduate programs to the Master's level for 550 students.
  • The Fletcher School of Law and diplomacy - Tufts University, Massachusetts (USA) - The primary aim of The Fletcher School is the same as it was when conceived by its founders: to offer a broad program of professional education in international relations to a select group of graduate students committed to maintaining the stability and prosperity of a complex, challenging, and increasingly global society.

International Affairs Resources - International Affairs Network - Pittsburgh (USA) -The International Affairs Network (IAN) is a project designed to enhance the institutional capacity of schools of International Affairs in East and Central Europe. It is a collaborative venture involving the University of Pittsburgh's Graduate School of Public and International Affairs (GSPIA) and its International Management Development Institute (IMDI), the Association of Professional Schools of International Affairs (APSIA), and carefully selected institutions in the region. The project is funded by a grant from The Pew Charitable Trusts.
