New information technologies represent not only a big opportunity, but also a challenge for
professionals working in International Affairs. In particular it will be most important to develop new
working methods in order to exploit fully the possibilities offered by new technologies.
Appropriate use of IT can help in improving decision-making process.
Learning to find the information which you need is complex. Technology is getting easier to use and
more user friendly,. However, even if it's easier than ever to get connected to the Net, the
exponential increase in know how information available is making it harder to use effectively. More
than ever there is a need for people to use the Internet to solve problems and find information, and
to
teach others to find, evaluate, and organize information using the Net.
