An Extranet service uses existing Internet interactive infrastructure, including standard servers, email clients and Web browsers.
A typical Extranet can also offers a private Discussion Area which permits the members to exchange ideas and to share information. The Discussion Area can facilitate collaboration in solving joint problems and in continuous service improvements.
They can be complex and costly to implement and can raise serious concerns about privacy and security if not handled properly.
